Music for Roller Coasters: Monaco Silver Star

I recently had the honor of contributing to Europa-Park’s new themed area as part of the team at 2112 Studios, which was commissioned to create the music and sound design for the attraction. Inspired by Monaco’s legendary racing culture and the adrenaline of the Silver Star roller coaster (which also happens to be my personal favorite ride in the park!), I had the opportunity to compose the area's main theme: an energetic, action-driven orchestral piece inspired by the intensity of motorsport racing, featuring powerful brass sections, driving rhythms, and percussion performances by my colleague Sebastian Kübler.

In addition, Sebastian composed a second orchestral piece that explores the more elegant side of the Monaco atmosphere. Serving as a contrast to the intensity of the main theme, his composition evokes a sense of luxury, sophistication, and calm - the quiet moment after the storm of the race. Both pieces were recorded with the incredible Budapest Scoring Orchestra, bringing the music to life with the scale and emotion that only a full orchestra can provide.
